Mr. Sanaullah Chowdhury, As a founder, he looked over the activities of all Atlas Line ventures as a whole, while simultaneously provided leadership and guidance to the Board of Directors. Mr. Sanaullah Chowdhury took extensive training abroad on shipping in Bremen, Hamburg, Antwerp, and Rotterdam, before eventually floating his own shipping business in 1966. Best known as the pioneer of international shipping and trading in Bangladesh, he was also the owner of the first Bangladesh national flag carrier Ocean-Going Vessel (OGV). Mrs. Umme Salma Chowdhury wife of Sanaullah Chowdhury has joined during the formation of the company as a working partner. She was in charge of the financial part where has contributed vastly towards the growth of the company. Mr. Sanaullah Chowdhury was engaged in many social and community services and his regular contribution to society as a donor to the orphanages as well as underprivileged educational institutes in Bangladesh.
